HELP!!!! plzz

Hi people i was wondering about a few things. ive been looking at diferent parts hoping to amp my crappy emachine T2862 with some well needed parts so i will finally be able to play battlefield 2. i want to still use everything except my Cpu, motherboard, graphics card, and memory. The following is what i will probably buy:
Processor- AMD Athlon 64 4000+ 2.4 GHz Socket 939
Memory- Ultra 1024MB PC3200 DDR 400MHz
Graphics card- GeForce 7600GS 256MB 128-bit GDDR2 PCI Express x16
Motherboard- Asus A8N SLI Deluxe NVIDIA Socket 939 PCI Express

The only problem i have is the compatibilty between the parts and the emachine T2862. Can someone tell me if the parts are compatible with each other and if they are compatible with my emachine. I would also like to know if i have to buy a new windows OS cd. IF you have a better setup for around the same price i would like to know. I will take any comments or suggestions. Thanks...

That's pretty much the same setup with my computer. It'll be able to run BF2. The only difference is, mine has a 7800GT. I can run it on full detail, no problems at all. So, with a 7600GS, I'd assume you would be able to run it pretty nicely. The parts appear to be compatible with each other. The only thing you need to look at is the size of your computer, and compatibility with your power supply. If your computer appears to be really small (BTX, micro-ATX) then the motherboard won't fit. It must be an ATX case, and an ATX power supply, I'm pretty sure. I don't really know how exactly to check to see whether or not your PSU will definitely work or not; maybe someone else can assist you with that.

with that setup your gonna wanna make sure you have at least a 400-450 watt power supply to be safe and such. most computers (especially an emacine) don't have a psu like that from the factory. the board will likely not fit in the case being most emachines are micro-atx so you'll have to look for a new case. you should be able to use your optical and hdd though but for the stuff you want in it the emachine parts will not be up to par.

THanks for the replies that helps alot. so i should also add in a better PSU and i should check the deminsions of my case. I also would like to know if I could still use the sound card and some other devices that came with the emachine.
