I'm pretty sure you do need to have a license to own a firearm, give America some credit, they're not totally stupid. However it just seems strange to me that you can buy something that kills people along with your vegetables.

Although they do sell guns in banks...yeah Americans are stupid, no doubt about it.

I know they are not totally stupid, but the fact that so many people can get their hands on weapons is unbelievable. Though I guess in here it isn't so hard either, you just need to get a hunting license and join some hunting group and then you can go to the police and do some paper work and you get a license to buy hunting weapons. (= shotguns and rifles)
