Harddrive for ibook

i would like to replace my 10 gig hdd on my ibook
dose this mean i can put any 2.5 mobile hd in it??
and to make a quick and easy transfer from one hd to the other how would i go about doing this... i dont really want to format. cause i never reinstalled the OS to a mac before .... its intimidating hehe

Any laptop hard drive will do..

Installing MacOSX is easy, pop the DVD in, and it's a GUI interface, so it's really simple from there. After you have installed it, just external the old one or something..

ooh and when your installing it, you gotta click "customize" and remove the extra languages and printer drivers you dont need (takes up 2 gigs)
