RAM question

Does:

"Notice: Only DDR2-800 memory supporting JEDEC approved 1.8V operation with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6 is supported on Intel Desktop Boards based on Intel 965 Express Chipsets." (It says this in the description for the mobo)

Mean that I can't use RAM with 4-4-4 timings and 2.1V?
Someone posted in a review for that mobo that they are using RAM with timing 4-4-4-12 and 2.1V so I'm wondering why it says that.

Thanks,
Jake

If you can make manual adjustments to the ram in the bios to meet the ram specs then it may work. Keyword is "may".

It says that becuase JEDEC only supports that. The reason that the RAM will run 4-4-4-12 @ 2.1V is because you manually set the settings. If the motherboard is a P965, chances are that it will support those settings. If the motherboard can handle those speeds (why won't it?) then its fine.
