im just wondering what are the requirements for vista. ive seen Motherboards with a vista ready sign. do u need specific motherboards and cpu's to run it?

there aren't 'vista specific' motherboards. however, you probably need one with atleast one agp slot/pci-e slot in order to run it smoothly since the gpu demands on the new aero vista interface is pretty high.
