OMG PS3's coming out this Friday!!!!

is it true that on the ps3 once u put the game in there its only usable on that console? thats what i heard anyway

Yup. That's why Sony's move of embracing Blu-Ray completely is risky. It could help them win or could completely sink them.

The Cell isn't completely proprietary. It was co-developed by Sony, Toshiba and IBM and some companies are planning to use it in servers or blade servers. There might even be some use for it in the military. ;)

The PS3 is half-assed. The moment you plug in your PS3, expect several firmware updates. Yes, that is how half-assed it is. The firmware isn't even complete. :rolleyes:
