Hey guys i want to build my first PC and want it to be the ultimate gamer. I want to play all the new PC games and be able to play the new ones coming out.I want to try and spend about $1200 U.S and under. What parts do u guys think i should take a good look at? I'm looking for a list on what to get. All suggestions are really appreciated. Thanks

For now this is the only thing i've really taken a look at.

oh yeah totally :D get that :D and a decent video card like the geforce 7800GT or something (for your budget) and someone else will have to tell you more.

GPU- $150 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814150186

PSU- $50 after rebate - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817148010

CD Drives- I suggest a burner and a seperate reader-
Reader- $18 -http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827136083
Burner- $31 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16827106013

Case- I'm one of those people who doesn't care about looks, so I reccomend something like this [ http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16811147038 ] I have it and I really like how cool it keeps my comp.

HD- 298 Gigs should be enough - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16822136003

RAM- http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16820134046

Along with the mobo and processor you provided that should work you well.

Hope those suggestions help you =)

This would be my suggestion. Get a graphics card off ebay, cause they're pretty cheap there. And thats the one thing I would say, go big. With all these new direct X 10 cards out, either wait a month or two til they are cheaper, or wait a little while, and all the direct X 9.0c cards should get a bit cheaper. Spend a good $250 on your GPU. 2gbs of RAM. Make sure you calculate in windows, or get Vista RC2 from Microsoft. One more thing, get your case off ebay, they go pretty cheap. You can usually get a case and 500-550W combo.

Good luck, I just finished building my computer, but mine was only about $550-$600.
