Delayed until March?!?! Whoa, that is a long wait. Japan already got theirs, but I'm glad that we're getting ours this week. But hopefully by the time you get it, whatever bugs or kinks that existing PS3's might have, it will be eliminated by the time it is released in Europe.

nah, it wont be cheaper over here, we always get screwed over with prices over here..
that does look pretty cool, but at the moment, food and diesel for my car has to take priority.. i dont have any free time at the moment anyway, working all the time..

To make the decision harder, the new PS3 will cost as much as doing a major upgrade for your PC too---something that I've been wanting to do. Can you imagine upgrading my CPU/Motherboard/RAM all together at the price of a PS3? Pretty sweet stuff.

When it comes to the CPU, it's actually hard to say. The Xbox 360's PowerPC based Tri-Core are essentially general processing cores, and for tasks of that sort, it excells at it. The PS3's Cell processor consists of one PowerPC core and 7 SPE cores. DO NOT confuse them as general CPU cores, as they are not! SPE cores are specialized cores that have very high floating-point performance and they excell at tasks that they are programmed to do. This is why the PS3 has been so hard for so many developers to create games for. It'll take years before you see the full power of the PS3, simply because the Cell's architecture so advanced (and that can be a good or bad thing).

As for Xbox Live, Microsoft is YEARS ahead of what Sony could even come out with at launch. The only enticing thing about PS3 Online is that it's free. Remember, pretty much everything you see on PS3 Online has or will be ripped off of Xbox Live. Seriously...look at the Xbox Live Arcade and PS3 Online Arcade or Xbox Live Marketplace and PS3 Online Marketplace. No creativity at all (-1 for Sony). Anyways, I don't know if you've seen it before or not, but GameTrailers.com has a very cool video series (if you could call it that) called Bonus Round. What they do is have a 'round table' type discussion between developers, founders and analysts. It's completely opinion based on their line of work and you won't be seeing any scripted bias. Episode 1 (the only one they have as of now, since it is new) has:

Heres the reasons why I wont buy this in the next year...
A few weeks ago, according to the Playstation creators themselves, the PS3 was still crashing/freezing and the due date was suppose to be in March of 07'. Reliable, i think not.
secondly, its wayy more expensive then the 360. Why..? God doesnt even know. the graphics are the same, maybe SLIGHTLY different. and memory is just different pending on what one u buy.
Thirdly the games won't be as good. i use to have a ps2 and got bored with games fast and defiantly easily. the system wont bring out any new games worth noting, just old ones that r improved.
Am i biased because i have a 360..not at all. I use to be all for the ps3 and against the xbox because they kept saying how much better the ps3 is going to be blah blah blah. completely wrong. What are you spending the extra 100, 200, 300+ dollars on for the ps3. the answer barely anything worth noting.
