Hello I am planning on building a pc and I need to know what parts can I buy for building a gaming pc under the budget of €400.

I will understand if you say it is impossible to keep to that budget but if you have suggestions that would be great.

400.00 EUR = 513.822 USD

I'd say it depends on what kind of games you are playing. :\ Either way, its tight. You may have more luck updating your current computer, depending on what it is.

yeah, 500 bucks for a gaming pc is pretty tight. But if you need to stick to that budget, I'd start by upgrading your video card and getting some more memory, and maybe upgrading your processor if you can. That would be a good start and see where you are after that.

What are the specs on the system you have now?

Basically, any PC that is going to run the latest games at decent settings is going to cost around 700 Euros. What that said, if you just want to be able to play, and not care about graphics, it can be done. At a low end budget like this though, you may want to consider just buying a PC, it might be cheaper than building.

Here's my recommendation:
Processor - Core2Duo E6300

Mobo - inexpensive Gigabyte Socket 775

RAM - Corsair Value DDR2-533

Graphics Card - eVGA GeForce 7600GT

Hard drive -Seagate Barracuda 80GB SATA 3Gb/s

PSU - 430 watt Thermaltake

There's your basics for a cheapass gaming PC. It's going to go over the budget, no doubt about it. If you really want to save some money, go for an Athlon 64 4000+ processor and a socket 939 motherboard. Also, you might be able to get a cheaper graphics card.
