Can't get my built in sound to work.

Hi, I have an ECS mobo, and it is supposed to have 6 channel built in audio, but only the jack on the front of my case works, I installed drivers, but none of the speaker plugs work in the back. I have Vista RC1 if that makes a difference. I think it might be the reason. What should I do?

i had that problem too... was there jumpers on the pins that ur front panel connects to before you hooked the front panel up? if so they are there to route the sound to the rear audio ports... look in the motherboard manual in the sound part and see if it shows you how to set the jumpers back... i dont ever use the front ports so it didnt bug me that it wasnt hooked up... might be diff for you... i dunno if you can get them both to work... anyone else know more about this?

Heres a link to the latest drivers for ya board, give them a try. Also like ya said it could be down to the Vista installation, i had that on my machine a while back and the driver support was crap.
