I have a Geforce4 MX 4000, and it handles 2d games fine. But when I try to play 3d games, the graphics don't display properly; They seem to be transparent, you can just barely see the edges of the models. There are also black bars on the screen. Anyone have any ideas? And yes, I'm aware that my card sucks, but I have a VERY tight budget.

Before giving up and buying a new card, fiddle around with your settings. First, in the game you should have some video settings. If it is set to OpenGl, try moving to software (depends on the game).

If that fails: Right click on my computer>hardware>device manager>display adapters. Right click that and go to properties, depending on the card you may be able to change things there.

What kind of 3D games are we talking about? That card pretty much can't handle anything from the past few years...
