So I'm looking at my computer settings and it says my processor is 2.01GHz. Isn't that pretty low? I have the 3800+ x2 Dual Core and was just woundering if this is correct.
For an Athlon, no. For a Pentium, yes. It's a whole different architecture. Don't make me explain how it works, because I'll end up saying something incredibly stupid. Something about the integrated memory controller...someone finish the story
Yes. They are two physical CPUs in the X2 CPU than the original 3800+.
But, some applications aren't using the two CPUs, but it will be fixed in newer versions of everything. If a program uses one CPU, then the 3800+=X2 3800+
If they have the knowledge to use two, then 3800 does not equal to X2 3800+.
Yup, I've always been a fan of AMD. I just like their procs more. Just like the other posters have said, AMD operates on a different ghz. Dont let the numbers throw you off!
