External HDD !!! Need ur Help !!!

Well I decided to get my self an external HDD. I am looking for something with the capacity of 300-500G. Something that is reliable, with good ratings, something that I can rely on to store important and big amount of data, such as Documents/Movies/Games..etc. I don't know if I want to spend more then $250, but if it's something that is really nice, I am willing to spend more.

If you can please give me links, also I would prefer to pay by paypal.

About 2 months ago I got a LaCie 500GB. I am very happy with it, it runs extremely cool, great capacity, awesome design and very well built. Wouldnt trade it for any other drive of theat capacity. imho definitely worth a look. Hard to find a drive with a better price per GB.

oh, and i''m talking about the ""F.A. porsche"" design one, not the Big Disk (which is apparently very bad)

Well its sure looks interesting, deff the size that i need and its not very expansive, hahah looks 2 good 2 be true lol, but do they come in 16m catch? and 2 be honest i dont like the case 2 much maybe something in black ?

as for the case, the pictures dont really do it justice, but maybe its just a matter of different tastes. Though except if you really hate it, for that price it might be worth ignoring the looks.. or paint it black yourself, lol

Lamb thats some interesting stuff, i didnt know u can create ur own HDD like that? Its cheap and better !!! and all u have to is connect HHD to the shell and then connect the shell via USB to CPU right? Why do people by Ext HDD then if u can do it that way? its so much better...!

Yea thats right just connect it inside the shell, and connect to the PC.

people buy the External HDD because they dont know any better, and its already put together. We just know better


I'm glad I was able to show you that. And you can also get a differnt HDD case (external enclosure) and that could drop the price even more.
