1.)I would wait until the 8800XTX comes out in november and get it in SLI. It will leave the GX2 Chugging in the dust.

2.)go for a good 22". you can get them for the same price $300-400.

3.)Go for the intel core 2 duo E6600. it can be easily overclocked with a good mobo up to 4GHZ ON AIR. I would reccommend liquid cooling though. Remember, clock speed isnt the only thing that matters with processors.'

4.)and obviously, you will have to change your mobo

5.) if you have unlimited buget like you said, i suggest the following

Thermaltake armour w/ 25cm side fan
Gigabit/asus mobo (make sure it has DDR2800,10/100/1000mbps LAN, and socket LGA 775
Zalman CPU fan
Zalman Liquid cooling
ATI certified OCZ ram
8800XTX (already mentioned)
22"monitor (mentioned aswell)


and anything else i can think of i will put it down

Highly dobut adaptec is the best, their like nothign compared to the bigger players.

Anyways, with PCI SCSI controllers, the bus speed (132MBPS PCI BUS) will bottleneck the HD's

Adaptec Makes exellent PCI SCSI controllers that work well, i have used them.
But yea there are other Exellent Compaines as well.

Most definetly. Thats why i prefer onboard SCSI controllers. But he would have to Change his board then, and probally CPU, maybe memory.

I didnt have time to go looking for a board that has a built in SCSI controller, that supports his selected CPU/Mem is there one? link?
