could you give me a decent motherboard for intel duo processors within the price range of 100-190$ CND. I'm not to familiar with intel since i'm an AMD fanboy so heeeelpppp pplzzz

thx

and also what type of ram should I get, 4200, 5400, 6200 ........ i like to play games and overclock.

My personal favorite is teh DG965RYCK board. uses DDR2 RAM. can handle up too 8 gigs off of pc2-4200 or pc2-5300. or 4 gigs of PC2-6400. if you go the PC2-6400 route be careful as that board is picky about the 6400 it takes. (1.8V with timings of 5-5-5 or 6-6-6)

k cool i really like the first motherboard freestyler gave me.
I'm taking the OEM DUO 6400 so now, i'm looking for a QUIET fan.
Since these processors dont make too much heat, i'm more for having a quiet computer
the beast i got now is anoyingly loud. So, could you recommend a nice "quieter" cpu fan?

and also, must i wait to order all this untill after vista comes out or would it be safe to buy a "vista ready" video card?

For the RAM:
That motherboard can handle up to DDR2-667 (PC2-5400). I'd recommend some Corsair or another nice brand.

I'd go for something like this:

For cooling, you could look at something like this:

As for the video card, it depends on how much you are going to spend. If you want top of the line graphics (and don't mind a $500 price tag) you will have to wait for DriectX10 graphics cards to come out. DirectX 10 will in very basic terms make your graphics look amazing. DirectX 10 will be Vista exclusive, so to get one you have to wait until after the Vista release. If you don't want to spend that much, you can buy a current DirectX 9 card (as in Vista capable) and it will be fine, but you won't get the same amazing graphics as with DirectX10.

If you want to check out the capabilities, look at this:

best motherboard is ASUS P5B Deluxe. If not, Gigabyte DS3 is always a good choice, so is the ASUS P5B or P5W DH. Abit AW9D-MAX is very good.
