running my computer without a hdd

I had to return my hdd since it broke so currently I dont have a hdd in my computer. Thank god for linux and live cds!

nah, Im using kubuntu. As a live cd now (obviously) but also as a normal OS when I get my hdd back.

Yeah I was wondering about the same thing. But whatever, linux is easier. Just put in the cd and there u go.

Um ERD commander is about 1,500 buy it and you have a XP version that doesn't need a HDD it uses the CD and its mainly only used for troubleshooting. I use it at the shop a lot very handy.

Sucks they dont have a free version, it's an awesome program.

Also a windows terminal client could boot off a terminal server and the computer would run without a HD.
