My Laptop is Broken

My laptop will not FINSH THE INSTALLTION OF WINDOWS XP. I WOULD GET TO THE MIDDLE AND THEN IT SUTS OFF THE MONITOR WHEN IT SAYS INSTALLING DRIVERS. THEN IT SHUTS THE HARDRIVE. WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?

It could Be that the laptop dosent meet the minimum specs for windows xp .have you already checked , try installing an earlier version to see if that is the problem

theese are the specs for xp profesional , the specs for home are the same

also have you had an os installed before
