Monitor Not Working

I have just built my own computer for the first time and I turned it on and everything came on fine except for the monitor, which flashed the NO SIGNAL sign and then turned black. The light stayed orange, and I couldn't get it to work at all. Here are my parts:

links don't work.
But it's most likely the vid card or the mobo. So try to get ur hands on another vid card, or use the onboard one if there is. Also try the monitor in another computer to make sure it's working. If the monitor works and changing the vid card doesn't help them I'm guessing that the mobo is broken.
