I was looking on dell, and now they offer a physics accelerator as an add on card for the xps, what is this phsics accelerator for gaming? And what does it do?
yes it's for gaming. It calculates all of the physics stuff (a big surprise there) so the vid card&cpu don't have to worry about that part, leaving more power for the vid card to do the graphics. It will increase ur fps making games run smoother. But IMO it's not worth the money.
Oh I see doesnt seem worth the $250 dell wants, could just get a second 7600GT if I wanted, lol. I wasnt buying anything from dell and dont plan too, lol.
Waste of money, the 8800 series and the new ATI cards will be able to calculate physics just as good, and you dont have to waste a PCI slot and an exta $250
