its blocked, i was thinking maybe someone with cpanel could spare an email account

Do a search, you are bound to come up with one that is not blocked.

Hotmail will only be blocked because is it associated with MSN, gmail is a good one..

Our school blocks EVERY third party email site, as well as they block SMTP / POP3 on the networks.
