ok im getting a new mb soon and i have a pentium d 930 3.0ghz and i am wanting a mb that will supporst sli cause im wanting to do that pretty soon. well now they have the new core 2 duos and i have been told that i should upgrade to that later because is much faster. now im on a budget and i can only really find two mb that will support both sli and core 2 and one is an ecs(my mb now is ecs)

now i have heard nothing but bad things about ecs and the asus board seems to get so hot you can fry an egg on it. now my whole point for this thread is if i just get a mb that is only compatible with pentium d how future proof am i ? should i stick with my pentium d? ive only has it for around 6 monthes any help would be great
