Is The CPU The Cause??

I posted something related to this before, but I wanna double check to see if the reason for this is wat im thinking. My cpu fans cage broke and I have to put electrical tape around it to hold it down tight, the fact is it works, but would my computer being slow and choppy and skipping (which it normally doesnt do) be the cpus fan isnt adjusted right?

No i don't think that would factor in, i mean as long as the fan is still producing the same air flow.

so is it just the fan which u have taped or the heatsink also? If it's the heatsink then no wonder it's causing u problems, if the hs doesn't have good contact with the cpu the cpu will overheat. And yes the tape works (tried myself a few times ) but I still wouldn't recommend it. It should work fine after u get the new one.
