AbiWord

Is the free downloadable AbiWord application safe to download and use? Is it compatible with Open Office? Are there any problems associated with downloading it?

AbiWord is another word processor, like Microsoft Word and OpenOffice. As far as I know, it's perfectly good software with no problems. Here's a review from PC Magazine:
