Laptop battery issue

I have a Dell laptop with a weird battery problem.
Usually it's supposed to run for 2 hours on battery power, but lately whenever I disconnect it from A/C power, it says something like "16 minutes (75%) remaining."

It dies after around 20 minutes running on battery power. Is my battery fried? This is a fairly new computer. :/

Have you bin charging when the battery was not fully dead??

Hmmm... Im not sure... I fried my laptop's battery once, but it wouldnt last even 1 seconds w/o the power cord, so really it turned into a desktop, I just forked over the money for a new battery and it works fine.

yeah, Same thing happened to my girlfriends Sony Vio.. Just take it to dell.. they should do something about it.. probably give you a new battery.

Try running it all the way down till it goes flat, and then doing a full recharge. Dont know if it will work or not, but ive read that sometimes if you delete the battery from device manager and let windows reinstall it, then it sometimes sorts it out, worth a try.
