dang dude how do you get 334kbps? the most ive ever gotton is about 200kbps on 768kbps dsl and it was only that fast for like 3 seconds

This is slow, I have cable that is 5Mb's download and 500kb's Upload. So that download is slow compard to the download speed I get with some servers

Just an idea, I think you got 200 for just a few seconds because it was 200 kilobytes per second, whereas your DSL is 768 kilobits per second. So it's really steady at around 96 kilobytes per second. I have DSL3.0, which is 3 megabits, and it downloads at usually around 300 kilobytes per second. 768 kilobytes for DSL is kinda high I think.

its cuz firefox sucks at downloading large files. IE is much better than firefox at handling large files.

Amen, I use IE becuase it downloads faster than Firefox. Firefox seams to run faster loading websites.

i have to agree with the websites loading slow on IE7 but i do get some fast downloads on IE7

Word. Internet Explorer is great for large files. I usually use it, because it's easier when I download High-Definition trailers from GameTrailers.com.

whats makes internet explorer better at downloading big files? is it because firefox uses a downlaod manager maybe?

Beats me. I've always gotten faster download speeds with Internet Explorer.
