I thought Avast! was free?

How come I'm getting this if Avast! is free?

Is there another free version that I need to download instead of the one I have?

not by avast!, but by others. if your cafefull with who you give your email and stuff to the less likely you are to lose money, or your ID cuz of a scam on the net.

Well yeah, I know that. I don't give out my info to hardly anyone. Even with Avast! I just typed in my email addy for the registration key.
