USB or PS2 for mouse

I just bought a new mouse that is usb. It also came with a usb to ps2 adapter. Is there any advantage of using one over the other? Thanks

The adapter is so that it works on older PCs, or if you want to free up USB ports.

Make sure that you set USB emulation in the BIOS for DOS if you ever want to use your mouse with DOS and its plugged in as PS2 - or just remember where the PS2 adapter is...

It's basically to save USB ports and for older PCs. It is also good for DOS usage, or OSes that does nto have USB support. I would suggest that you plug it in the PS/2 port so like that, there's no issues going around.
