OK i have Avast installed but everytime I send mail I get a confirmation to send. I can't find how to disable that. Is there a way?

That's weird. My parents had a similar issue with outlook 2003 and avast. I just put avira on their PC and now it doesn't have that problem. You could try disabling the email provider and see if that does anything....

I've never seen this problem with Avast. Could you please include the exact error message? That would be helpful. I'm also running Avast! 4.7 Home Edition, and use Outlook 2003 as my email client, and have not seen this issue arise. Please send me a PM with the exact error message (I'm so busy in the forums, I don't necessarily watch topics)

Avira is great, but the only downside is if you use the free edition you get a window that comes up once a day that asks you to upgrade. I don't find it annoying but some people do. I like avira because it doesn't use much memory and it's pretty agressive as far as scanning goes.
