help with pc game mafia

hey .. i got the pc game mafia and i meet all hardware requirenments. im running xp sp2 and the game wont run.. It exit be4 it plays the intro video. any1 have any ideas on how to get this game going. I already look up some sites but still nothing. i even d/l the patch and still nuffin working.

this is the error msg "The program you are trying to run requires a current Indeo codec.
To obtain a current driver that is compatible with this version of Windows, please contact the manufacturer at http://indeo.ligos.com."

that's weird. sometimes for me it does that and I hit escape when the video comes up and it works. Try that and see if you have any luck.

did u download the driver thingy from http://indeo.ligos.com? If there is any.
U could also try reinstalling the game, and installing the newest DX.

this has happened to me b4 for games like max payne etc, the way most people fix it, not sure if itll work or whether or not ull get a file not found error, is to rename the intro movie , then the game wont try and play it. works on some games. just dont forget the original name incase it doesnt work lol
