Thats looks like a badass upgrade,

I like every part you selected. sweet Price to Performance Ratio,

but what the hell are you doing with a 7 Gig HDD?

hopefully its a type and you meant 70 Gig, but you should probally look into upgrading your hard drives down the road..

there can be exellent performance gains there that people overlook.

Look into western digital Raptors, they are exellent

but good luck on your new system man

Thanks! No typo here, i have a 7 gigabyte hard drive but I don't use it. It's just there if I ever do need it. I might consider buying a 100+ raptor in the future. It's just not in my budget currently.
I'm really hoping this will be worth the money since im upgrading from:
1.7ghz p4, 512mb ram, Radeon 9800pro, 350watt psu (came with case), and Elite group mobo.

That will be a great upgrade :)

Consider a 250GB Samsung Spinpoint P120S, they're fast, quiet and much cheaper than a Raptor :)

I would recommend a PSU from a more well-known manufacturer - an Akasa PSU, around 450W, would be perfect :)

i would suggest a better graphics card.. like the 7900GT or 7800GT, for the price difference and the major upgrade of graphics is amazing.

Im already stretching my budget my paying an extra $50 for the 7600GT :-/
Can anyone find a really good PSU 400-500W for around $50 on newegg? There are a lot for around that much that have really good reviews but I can't seem to decide.

get a conroe, the E6300 is the same price as the proc you got listed there, and wayyyyyyyy faster.

Its not the same price, the good motherboards for it costs twice as much, and the ram costs even more.

I'd get a different CPU. Sticking with socket 939 is fine, but the 4200+ X2 isn't that much better than the 3800+ X2. I'd either get the 3800+ or the 4400+, the 4200+ just isn't worth the extra money I don't think. It's a fine processor but proportional to the price, there are better offers out there.
