I just looked it up for you, the original was written by Carl Orff in 1937 in Frankfurt, [I was 6] apparently there are CD's available, pleased to help out [above & beyond the duties of a mod?]

I love classical music, & I'm pleased that more & more young people are getting into it now, great!
