does anyone here have a really strict school system?

My College only gives me 30MB to work with, if you don't have any other type of media it should be more than anough for work...

Also I used to work in my old school as an IT Technician and I agree with both sides, with a technician side they are doing what they are serpposed to or what they get paid for, also kids should be getting on with there work accordingly and not browsing sites as mentioned earlier.

But with the kids side, kids want to play games and think there rebelish because they managed to get on a site in which display a bit of explicit content or something they shouldn't do, or if it gets blocked they are like "Awww init mate, these pcss are wellll shitz" Or something....

Our college uses many techniques to monitor/detect/snoop on whats going on. They use "Vision Client" which is like remote desktop on Windows Server - it allows you to see whats going on on ppl's computers without them knowing anything. The thing is though I cracked the HDD protection on a staff computer and copied the whole program across to my account including all the DLL's and reg keys etc!

You're evil.

And I did the same thing :D basicly, except that I had an admin account on a school computer that had the program.

Our system is pretty lax on the actual Windows OS, but the Internet filter is strict. I can open the command prompt, browse through all the folders on the C: drive, telnet to my e-mail, etc. The only thing I've noticed so far to be blocked there is the net user command when I was trying to make a new user. I was on Newegg searching for deals once, and got called down to the office for searching for "Geforce 7600GT XXX".

They probably think it's a new adult line of graphics cards that are designed to render XXX better or something. I was downloading triple X (the movie) at school and my teacher thought it was pr0n.

our school system lets through anything, Cashepolit.. what more can I say? :p From porn to proxys, if the kids did the research they could get on any site ;)

Thats funny. I mean we have logging too, but they are NEVER checked. One day i looked thru them a bit, and tons of people were trying to access hardcore porn.

My high school blocks nearly all sites, and if you find a proxy, theyll check the sites most people have been visiting, and everyone tells eachother proxies, so they get blocked, i found 1 working one, http://aeroproxy.com/ hasnt been blocked YET!
My school also has a money system, you get 10 dollars a semester (half year) and its like 1c for about 50kb's or something, damn it drains, and you have to pay to recharge, they also go throught your documents, i like to go on and delete the C:\WINDOWS files, hehe, and the IT sh!t heads unblocked YouTube, soo tempting, i had to go on it and in 1 video, dooowwwwnnn goes mycredit, no more internet!!!!!!!!
So mean

Well - If you where really that desperate for a proxy, then why not just install Apache or somthing on your PC, and then install PHProxy, and acsess it through your IP Address...?
