Rogue Software?

All right. I have AOL Security Suite and in my firewall section it says I have another firewall installed (Norton Internet Worm Protection). So I look at my Add or Remove Software in Windows and I dont find it there.


Are there any ways to find that piece of software? 'Cause I dont find it anywhere.

step one. get rid of AOL SS. as i'm sure many more pple will say after me, it hogs up soo much of your systems resourses. then i'd say just go with the norton program.

Lets pretend that I swear against Norton and I want to get rid of it.


If worse comes to worse, I'll get rid of AOL SS. But for now that seems a bit rash.

Did you put it on there or did it come with the system? There should be an uninstall file in the directory you put it and a shortcut in the start menu somewhere.

It came with the system and 'till now I thought it was all gone!

Try doing a search for 'norton' or symantec', and manually deleting it. I've had this problem trying to uninstal Norton from a computer, but it was nothing like the fight I had trying to remove a pre-installed AOL!
