Bad Video card?????

So i am using my computer and all the sudden it shuts off or restarts to the first screen i see of my video card logo whihc is a python. It then asks me to put in a boot disk or something like that. I know this will happen becuase my computer starts to freeze. This has happened many times and recently it will just keep doing it.
Oh and sometimes it just goes to a dark screen and stays there.
Could this be my video card?

what were ya doing before it started doing this? Any driver changes or software updates etc?

Open the case and clean all the dust. Make sure that all of the heatsinks (cpu and vid card) are on their place, and make sure that all of the fans are spinning.

Or then if these doesn't help u could try flashing a new bios to the vid card, but I don't think this will solve the problems since if the bios would be messed up it wouldn't have started freezing, it would have stopped working immediately.
