Windows XP in B&W

Is there any program that will force Windows XP to only display in monochrome?

I mean absolutely no color anywhere in windows, nor the internet browser, nor in any other application.

Windows reverts to monochrome just before shut down, so I know the functionality exists. Just need a function to keep it permanently in black and white.

Any ideas?

What? No, there is nothing wrong with my monitor.

I would prefer it in black and white, instead of RGB color, and I am asking whether that is possible.

can ya not just turn the colour down on ya monitor?

No such thing; only color temprature settings, no desaturation.

Press Alt-Shift PrntScreen, should work, not sure but maybe that is nte command for high contrast..
