in the garbage today, me and my friend found a P3 600mhz with 192mb of ram. i installed windows xp on it and it only shows up as a 300mhz processor. Bios also says 300mhz. How do i up it to its stock speed (it even says 600mhz on the processor)?

Nothing in the BIOS? that means its the jumps. Is it a dell, becuase there motherboards have a jump of the side of the motherboard that shows:

200mhz, 250mhz, 300mhz, 350mhz, 400mhz, 450mhz, 500mhz. That you got 2 extras. BIOS or Error (Somthing like that)

If it isnt a dell, check the motherboard anyway and look for jumpers

well i just overclocked it to 450 in the bios. and what do u mean by jumpers? little plastic thingies? its an MDG computer.

edit: nope, no turbo button.

yeah i can change it to 600 in the bios. i can even go past past 1 ghz, but windows BSOD's if its above 450.
