Right, basically I need one of the above in order to install broadband, is there anyway you can get some sort of add on thing which would enable me to do this?

Cheers

Not quite sure what ya after, is it a NIC as above, or are ya on about an access point?

Its to connect an "Ethernet (computer) cable with larger RJ45 plugs. Would the product suggested above be Ok for that?

Thanks

Is it a laptop or desktop, most desktops have ethernet connector built into mobo, most laptops are sorted for this aswell now. If ya havent already got this connector built in then ya need a NIC. Not sure what ya already have for ya broadband, have ya already got a modem or ADSL router(access point) for this.

It is a desktop pc. It has a socket for (what I believe is) a line router cable with smaller RJ11 plugs.

There is no socket for an ethernet cable with larger RJ45 plugs - needed for broadband.

I already have dial up internet which is connected, i think, by one of those small RJ11 plugs.

The cable is needed to connect the pc to the modem router.
I have an ADSL.

Sorry if this doesnt make much sense but im not exactly an expert!

Thanks again!

p.s. could you tell me more about these NICs?
