Core 2 Duo in Laptops?

Yeah, they might've had all the companies that licensed PMR Technology to pay royalties for every hard drive manufactured. That would bring in so much moolah for Hitachi. :D

I've long been an AMD guy, but I recently purchased a Core Duo (1.83GHz 1GB 667MHz RAM, 128MB ATI X1300 with hyper memory) Inspiron 6400 and since doing so I haven't really even touched my AMD desktop (athalon 3200+ barton OC'd 2x 74GB Raptors raid-0 1 GB Kingston Hyper-X RAM, XFX 6600GT 256MB OC'd) I do alot of photoshopping, flash, dreamweaver and such, and this Intel machine kicks a**! So much in fact I just ordered a Latitude D820 with the Core 2 Duo 2.0 GHz, 2 GB RAM and the 512MB Nvida quattro 120 turbo cache. The storage isn't much of an issue for me as I have a gig-E 500GB NAS drive. But now instead of being couped up in my office working I can sit on the couch with the wife and Kid and work while we watch a movie (my relationship has been much better since now that she actually sees me once in a while!) :D :D :D

*edit- forgot to mention I also get 2.5-3 hrs runtime with the 6 cell battery, my new one will have the 9 cell!

The Core Duo is a good processor for a laptop, mine seems to always be at 25C, and when it hits 35-40C, the fan turns on, and it returns to 25C, I dont rate Core Duo 2 in laptops TBH..dont see the point..
