I have a HD ready TV with a hdmi conection. The tv also has 15pin (cannot remember its fansy name :p). If i connect the Computer tower to the t.v using a 15-pin cable will my HD vids on the computer, that i downloaded, work at HD quality on the TV screen.

I could be wrong here but i dont think ya will get HD from this, coz i dont think VGA is digital, and its not designed for HD. Someone else will correct me if im wrong lol

VGA is analog. If you want to view next-gen HD content via HD-DVD or Blu-Ray (provided you can even afford it), you'll need HDCP compliant hardware. Your TV is fine, because it already has HDMI. If you want to play HD content from your computer, you'll need a HDCP compliant video card, and there are none out yet. So playing true HD content will only work if you have HDMI. VGA won't.
