What makes the Athlon 64 so good?

Yeha, and then I'll oc my x2 like my 3500+. Make it kick-@$$. Maybe the 5000+ would be nice... nah, too much $$$. I'm thinking the 4800+ if possible, or the 4400+ if I need to save some cash...
i'ma do the 4400+.. toledo core is good.. i'd rather have that over the manchester.

I'm debating between a core duo 2 6300 and an athlon X2 of some sort for my next build. I'm thinking I might go the core duo route but I don't know yet, too soon to tell...

Yeah, sounds good. Do what falcon did and oc that baby to 3.7ghz and beyond...

Cuz maybe it's a handpicked chip? 3.6Ghz 24/7 on high end water (as in Storm or MP-05 SP LE and Thermochill rad) is doable, unless you have a dud chip. But 3.7 might require more voltage and good ambient temperatures.

Heh, I could care less about overclocking. The Core 2 Duo is already faster than anything at stock speeds. :D

"What make san Athlon 64 so good?" Nothing. An intel Core 2 Duo E6300 is good. And what makes that good? Cheap prices, 4x the performance.
