Burnt out wireless adapater?

I have the Linksys Wireless-G USB Network Adapter with SpeedBooster... and it freezes my internet connection every once in a while. Even the indicator in the task bar will freeze. Internet will not work... and when I check the bottom of the adapter, it's pretty hot. In order to get it working again, I have to unplug, then replug. I'm pretty unhappy with this product and am interested in getting another adapter... what do you guys suggest?
