please help a desperate high school senior get into college, just one, ONE! word doc.

I used "Recover My Files" to recover my college entrace essay that got deleted when I restored my computer. However when i open the word document the essay does not show, instead there are about 20 pages that contain the following....repeated over and over

I need to finish my essay before the deadline and do not want to do a sloppy job retypeing it, is there any way to ....decode? this document to get this back in the way it was

Short answer- no. Alternative answer, this does not look like a file that would be an essay, but it is possible that it became this way due to being over written. I would try to recover it again- maybe something just got weird when you saved it, or the program you are using is not working properly. If you are using the "downloaded" version, meaning you didn't purchase it, it may be that it will not recover correctly- companies have a tendancy to do this type of marketing. I use On Track Easy Recovery Pro- haven't had a problem yet (it's expensive). That's tough luck, and a tough lesson learned. I recommend in the future that you invest in a USB thumb drive, or at the lease always make sure you have backups on CD or Floppy. Not trying to be a smart a**, just trying to give good advice- it's happened to all of us at one point.
