Processor Question

Hello -

I have a Pentium III, and my question to you is, i want to upgrade my processor really soon, but without having to rip out my whole motherboard...I'm looking for something with similar compatabilities. Now how would I know if a processor is compatable with my computer?

you would have to find out what socket it is first, maby its 370?

find out wat is ur mobo's name, manufacture, then search the manufacture's site for processors that it can be supported.

well u will probably have to stick with another p3 since I think that p4's are only s478 and lga 775. If u want anything new u will have to go with a new mobo and probably new ram too.
