I cant be trusted? so, basically David doesnt trust any of the members? Pssh..the members keep this place alive, but yet a mod, whos job is to keep the place clean, gets a av, but without members, you wouldnt be a mod...Watver..

well mods are selected based off activity, post quality, and social skills.

right now we have enough mods, however if we need one im sure you would be one of the guys being looked at.

you gotta think of it like this..
there are too many members here. but i do understand that we are mods for a reason and we can take care of someone with a porn image in a av.

and yes.. with out you guys there would be no us... but then again with out us, this plcae would be hell and there wouldnt be any of you..

but the mods are why you keep comming back... when it all comes down to it, with out any moderation and people running amuk you wouldnt be here. you know the spam attacks and threats this place gets..

we dont know that, there could be a threat that everyone leaves if they do get it. however im 99.9% sure that wont happen either. odds are good david wont crack on that, but you dont always know that for sure...

It's not that David wouldn't trust u. Do u have any idea how much complaining etc would come up if he would give the custom avatars just to some members who he trusts. All of the other active members who wouldn't get a custom avatar would probably get pretty pissed since they would feel that some other members were more important than them. And also it would kinda be like David saying to them "Sorry, but I don't trust u as much as these other guys, so u can't have a custom avatar but they can" Now no one would like that or would they?

I think that the custom avatar thing should be done in one way or another, maybe like make a new rank at 3000 or so posts, and then give custom avatars to those people. Having the new rank at 3000 posts would mean that there wouldn't be too many people who get it (=less chance to be abused) and I doubt it would increase spamming by much since it's pretty damn hard to spam to 3000 posts without a mod getting pissed at u.
