Well I have a old motherboard and it only uses SDRAM. I hear that that type of ram is obsolete, because there is DDR, DDRII.
So, im wondering to buy a new motherboard and buy new ram, or just get a 1GB of SDRAM.

Im on a budget because I want to buy a new LCD moniter and a new case.

And right now the only site im looking at is TigerDirect because thats the only site to me that is pretty awesome.

If you can help, it will be greatly apprecaited.

I prefer Newegg because of their low prices. You want to use DDR2 now. DDR is slowly creeping down memory lane, but it's whatever you want to do and how much you want to spend. There are cheap budget motherboards and RAM that support DDR2 if that's what you're looking for. What processor do you want to use? It would be a worthy upgrade for you since you're coming from traditional system that's still running SDRAM.

Alright, well im looking to spend around 200 to 250 on a m/b and RAM.
But I want atleast 1 gb of RAM because on this peace of crap im only on 352mb.
I want a new LCD. So, thats why the budget on the m/b and RAM is so low.

Looks like it will work. You'll just reuse your video card from your older system into this one since it still supports AGP and buy new DDR SDRAM. What are you upgrading from? I mean, what are your system specs now?

Well first of all, the motherboard has integrated video card.
I mean can you help me find a decent m/b.
I was just talking to my mom and she was like just buy a new moniter and ill buy you a new comp for christmas.
But like thats to far away. I want to soup this computer just a little to make it better.
But the computer is basically this.

Its supa old. But i bought my own case and I bought a new hd.
I mean the computer aint like slow. But graphics or video quality is horrible.
And just I don't like the overall performace.

So, you think I should just buy a new LCD monitor and 2 512mb SDRAM?

Oh, and thanks for your time.
Your a great help.

Or you could upgrade to a PCI video card and get more RAM. If you want me to make a recommedation for a major upgrade, here's what I can point out but the cost won't be near what you plan to pay. It can be better, but for the cost and the performance you're getting, it's much improved from what you have now.

Thanks man ima look into that.
I added it up. Its about 341.
If my madre let me do that. Ill will most likely do that.
She was wanting me to just buy a LCD from best buy and wait.
But since you said that idk anymore, ima talk to her.

That looks like a good setup to me.
So, thank you for your time and research.

It's not top of the line but it should prove to be a significant improvement when compared to your old system. You'll like it. The parts aren't too cheap either so you'll get reliability.
