Getting a new HD, got a question!

Ok my motherboard is a abit NF7 S2G, and it supports SATA 1.5 HDs. I currently have 1 80gig SATA 1.5 WD HD, and i was wondering if a 160gig SATA 3.0 HD would work on my motherboard?

Yep. You might need some driver updates, but SATA is getting really smart these days. You going to have it mirrowed?

Yup, the SATA 3.0 Gb/s should work just fine. They are backwards compatible with SATA 1.5 Gb/s.

3.0 Hd wil work on a 1.5 board just at 1.5 speeds. 1.5 will work on a 3.0 board just at 1.5 boards.

SATA is freaky east, plug it in and go. so yes any sata HD wil work with your MOBO. Make sure you have SP2 in.
