Default Socket AM3 and DDR3?

Socket AM3 in 2007

Now I hear rumor of AMD's dissapointing transition to make 65nm process work. They have to increase the voltage to as high as 1.62V to get the clock speed they want. Doesn't look good when compared to Intel's 1.3V. I guess it's all about performance per watt these days.
