IP hiders

alright well i only have the downloadable verion not the suite version or whatever its called. will this still be able to block ips or do i need the real one?

You mean you only have the free version of Zone Alarm (Firewall only) and not the full suite?

Yeah, that will still work, firewall is all you need.

How you would set it to hide your IP, I'm not sure though. I use Outpost Firewall Pro... which hides (or at least disguise) your IP on installation (I think anyway).

Okay, found something for Zone Alarm that at least partly hides your IP.

1. Double-click the "ZA" icon on your taskbar.

2. On the "ZoneAlarm" or "ZoneAlarm Pro" window that follows, click on the "Overview" button on the left.

3. Click the "Preferences" tab.

4. Check "Hide my IP address when applicable".

Hide IP is a good program. I use it now and then.
