i'm starting college this year as a computer science major with an emphasis in art/graphic design... so i'll be using my computer for multimedia purposes, photoshop, illustrator, final cut, etc. and i'm looking to buy a new computer (around $2000), any input on these questions would be greatly appreciated!
what makes macs so much better (over comparable pcs) for multimedia productions?
would the apple imac 2ghz intel core duo do the job? i've been reading reviews that say photoshop is crippled by the rosetta software of the new apples...
what type of key hardware should i be looking for? video card? ram?
