Im building a New computer for my dads house......YAY!

i have the Cpu in ( socket 775) and need to get a CPU Fan. Im looking in the holes where the CPU Fan will go and dont see anywhere for a FAn to Screw into the Case.....is this alright? Will some CPU Fans just like Grab on to the Mobo and wont screw into the case?

What size is the heatsink? 120mm fans go with 120mm Heatsinks, 92mm go with 92mm etc. And what heatsink are you using?

The fan just bolts/clips onto the heatsink. The Thermalright SI-128 is a great example. It comes with clips, so you can clip a fan on.

so basically i can get any CPU Fan ( 775 ) and it will work

as long as it fits the case. (atleast on zalmans website u can find info on how to check if their heatsinks/fans will fit) U need to make sure that there is enough room between the socket and the psu and that there is no high objects on the mobo close to the heatsink.

But usually they should fit, but I had to get a 92mm zalman instead of a 120mm because the psu was so close to the socket.
